We are looking to hire a detail-oriented HVAC technician to install, maintain and repair HVAC systems. The HVAC technician will be skilled in cleaning, adjusting and repairing pumps and split systems. Note: The pay rate for this job is $28 - $32 / hour

Responsibilities:

  • Monitors performance of heating, ventilation, and cooling systems for the facility.

  • Clean heating and cooling fan coil unit while making adjustment of system controls and replacement of filters as needed.

  • Read and interpret blueprints, plans, specifications and drawings to determine job requirements.

  • Perform preventative maintenance, adjustments on both pneumatically controlled and digitally controlled split systems.

  • Perform seasonal overhauls and transitions of systems to and from heating/cooling. 

 Qualifications:

  • Knowledge of HVAC installation, troubleshooting, repair and maintenance.

  • Ability to perform inspections and make necessary adjustments to conform to job specifications.

  • Knowledge of low-pressure boilers, chilled water production units, compressors, turbines, generating units and water systems.

  • Ability to repair and/or replace building mechanical systems components, including programmable logic controls, control valves, sensors, etc.

  • Requires heavy physical work, heavy lifting, pushing, pulling required of objects up to 50 pounds.

  • Ability to perform preventative maintenance according to published guidelines.

  • Working knowledge of refrigerants and refrigerant recovery.

  • 3 to 5 years experience directly related to the duties and responsibilities specified; equivalent military, commercial or industrial experience may substitute.
