PeopleReady Carpenter in Rochester, New York

Peopleready, Skilled Trades Division is currently accepting application for experienced commercial carpenters in Syracuse, NY. Successful candidates will receive competitive pay, medical, dental, vision, FREE OSHA 10 training, and more!

Note: The pay rate for this job is $28 / hour

Responsibilities:

  • Include but are not limited to: Measuring, cutting, and hanging drywall to required specifications

  • Assist in framing up walls and installing sheathing

  • Install crown moldings; Assembling and fastening materials using hand tools and wood screws, nails, dowel pins, or glue

  • Cutting and nailing headers and blocking

  • Fitting and installing of window frames, doors, interior and exterior trim, wooden doorframes

  • Perform all duties in compliance with site safety and building requirements

 Qualifications:

  • 3-5 years previous experience in the commercial construction industry and knowledge of the materials, methods, and tools involved in the commercial construction field.

  • Ability to accept direction and work as a team player

  • Demonstrate dependability to work a regular schedule including nontraditional hours including weekends.

  • OSHA 10/OSHA 30 or willingness to undergo OSHA Safety Training.

  • Required Tools: Hammer, screw drives, tape measure, adjustable wrenches, utility knife, impact driver, plumb bob, cordless drill, caulk gun, nail sets, T square, framing square, level
