PeopleReady Maintenance Electrician in Riverdale, Illinois
Are you looking for an opportunity to utilize your excellent problem-solving skills and superior knowledge of all things involving electricity? Peopleready Skilled Trades is a specialized division of Peopleready; a TrueBlue Company. We are currently seeking a Maintenance Electrician for the routine maintenance, installation, and repair of electrical equipment and systems. As a Maintenance Electrician you will ensure that electrical systems and equipment meet safety and regulatory requirements and operate efficiently to minimize downtime.
Note:The pay rate for this job is $25 - $30 / hour
Responsibilities:
Inspect on a routine basis electrical equipment, wiring, fixtures and other components to ensure they remain functional and are up to code, as well as to identify any hazards or issues.
Determine the reasons for any malfunctions of systems or components, and create a maintenance or repair plan to solve the problem.
Repair electrical systems, wiring, circuit breakers, equipment and other components so that they remains at full functioning capacity.
Reviewing blueprints to understand wiring placement.
Testing of electrical systems with oscilloscopes, voltmeters, and ohmmeters.
Inspecting transformers, circuit breakers, and other electrical components.
Repairing and replacing equipment, electrical wiring, and fixtures.
Qualifications:
High school diploma or GED.
Electrician qualification certificate.
Proven work experience as a Maintenance Electrician.
Familiarity with industrial electrical systems and the National Electrical Code.
Good problem-solving skills.
Physically strong and able to stand for long periods.
Solid communication skills.
