We are now hiring for Skilled Laborers with a real passion for working with their hands to chip in at clients' jobsites. Skilled Laborers can be found on almost all sites, performing a wide range of tasks from very easy to hazardous. They are at building, highway, and heavy construction sites; residential and commercial sites; tunnel and shaft excavations; and demolition sites. Many of the jobs they perform are physically strenuous and may require special training or experience. Note: The pay rate for this job is $18 - $22 / hour
Responsibilities:
May clean out ditches and remove concrete forms.
Perform manual labor.
May install insulation and duct work
Assist, support and follow direction of skilled labors.
May assist in the erection and removal of falsework and formwork.
May assist in the installation of underground utilities.
May assist in the installation of piping and equipment at industrial facilities including water treatment plants, wastewater treatment plants, and shipyards.
May be required to carry and clean various materials as directed.
May be required to shovel or rake materials.
Must be safety minded and adhere to all safety policies.
Lifts, carries and holds building materials, tool and supplies.
Cleans tools, materials and work areas.
Qualifications:
Ability to handle physical workload by lifting and/or carrying objects up to 50 pounds
Ability to stand and walk for long periods of time
Ability to bend and/or stoop and to climb a six-foot ladder
Good verbal and written communication
