Must have Skill Sets: Safety must be proficient at electrical testing and the use of test meters.
Lock out tag out.
Test try test. Motor control diagnoses.
MCC buckets, fuses, starters, and relays.
Job Summary The Electrical Technician is responsible for the maintenance and repair of all instruments and electrical equipment in the power plant and the associated facilities.
The Electrical Technician performs work of high skill in the inspection repair, testing, calibration, installation and removal of all electronic and electrical power plant equipment and systems.
Job Functions ·
Perform preventive maintenance duties on all major equipment and systems. Maintain complete equipment files, logs, and drawings for all designated equipment. ·
Forecast, inventory, and reorder spare parts to maintain plant reliability.
Assist in physical inventories. Participate in the administrative maintenance of the plant operating manuals, technical references, prints and diagrams and preventive/predictive maintenance records. ·
Inspect repair, install, and remove all types of motors, generators, transformers, switches, control equipment, wiring, electrical signal and communication systems, and storage batteries, and work with electrical systems up to and including 4160 volts. ·
Work with hazardous materials may be required. ·
Complete other tasks as requested by the Maintenance Manager. Experience in working with voltages up to 4160 volts is highly desirable. Schedule ·
Normal working hours: Monday through Friday 07:00 to 15:00. ·
Extended working days and hours are periodically required. ·
Overtime to complete job tasks periodically required.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities which may be representative, but not all-inclusive of those commonly associated with this position. · Must possess basic math skills, good verbal communications skills, and be proficient with the use of power and precision tools. · Must be cooperative with those he/she contacts in this work and can work without direct supervision. ·
Must know the hazards involved and the safety precautions to be practiced in the operation and maintenance of power plant equipment and machinery. ·
Work within and ensure strict adherence to all safety practices and procedures. ·
Must be able to respond to audio alarms and variations of sound. ·
Basic data entry/computer skills ·
Work as a team. Must be able to pool our knowledge and energy to work in tandem to completely understand and productively respond to all the business challenges. Work Environment Environmental or atmospheric conditions commonly associated with the performance of the functions of this job. ·
Protective equipment such as hard hats, safety glasses, air masks, ear protection, chemical suits, hot gloves, high voltage protective equipment and other equipment must be worn in the performance of some duties. ·
Work with hazardous materials may be required. ·
Requires working extended working hours, varied shifts or 12-hour shifts with weekend and holiday work as required by schedules, workload, and plant conditions.
On call status (day and night) may be required. ·
Includes working indoors and outdoors. ·
Includes working with high temperature liquid and high voltage equipment.

Must be able to work in elevated areas, confined spaces and in extreme heat and cold conditions.
Qualifications:
E-Verify - Eligible to work in the USA
Minimum 5 years of experience on industrial sites
Self-sufficient and fully tooled in the trade.
Verifiable work history that confirms your experience in the trade
