Industrial Seamstress
PeopleReady of Fredericksburg, VA is now hiring Industrial Seamstress! We are seeking a motivated individual to join our team as an Industrial Seamstress. This entry-level position is ideal for candidates with limited experience in industrial sewing but possess a strong willingness to learn. The Industrial Sewer will be responsible for operating sewing machines to assemble, alter, and repair garments or other textile products according to specifications and production deadlines

Pay Rate:
The pay rate for this job is $16 / Hour
What you'll be doing as a Industrial Seamstress
Operate industrial sewing machines to perform basic sewing tasks such as hemming, joining seams, and attaching buttons or zippers.
Follow detailed instructions and production orders to ensure accurate assembly of garments or textile products.
Inspect finished products for defects and ensure quality standards are met before final packaging.
Maintain a clean and organized workspace to ensure safety and efficiency.
Assist in other production tasks as needed, such as cutting fabric, ironing, or packaging finished products.
Available shifts:
Shift timings - 1st Shift - Day
Job requirements:
High school diploma or equivalent.
Basic understanding of sewing techniques and familiarity with industrial sewing machines preferred.
Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced production environment.
Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work.
Good hand-eye coordination and manual dexterity.
Willingness to learn and adapt to new techniques and processes.
Ability to follow instructions and work as part of a team.
Prior experience in industrial sewing or garment production is a plus.
Certification or training in sewing or textile production.
Knowledge of different types of fabrics and their properties.
This position operates in a manufacturing environment where the use of sewing machines and other equipment is common. The role may require standing for extended periods and occasional lifting of materials
